JReepad
Jreepad is an open-source re-working of Treepad Lite in Java
created by Dan Stowell. Jreepad is freeware.
JReePad comes in two editions:
(1) a dedicated MAC OS X edition,
and (2) a Java edition
which runs on any operating system, but needs to have a Java virtual machine installed.

(1) Download Jreepad as a Mac OS X application bundle (Java does not need to be installed)
(2) Download Jreepad as a Java .JAR file (platform-independent, but needs a Java Virtual
Machine installed)
Running TreePad for Windows on MAC/Intel
You might be surprised to learn that you can already run TreePad (for Windows) on a MAC/Intel.
For this you need to install third-party emulation software, as listed below:
Virtualbox
Freeware, open-source virtual Machine for Windows, Linux, MAC. It supports a large number of guest operating systems including but not limited to
Windows (NT 4.0, 2000, XP, Server 2003, Vista), DOS/Windows 3.x, Linux (2.4 and 2.6), and OpenBSD.
Runs all TreePad editions on MAC including TreePad X Enterprise.
Wine for MAC OS X
We expect that Wine for MAC OS X will be able to run TreePad (we have not tested this though, nor received any user-feedback).
VMWare
Using this emulator you should be able to run all current TreePad Windows versions on MAC/Intel, including the Enterprise Editions.
Please try this out first before purchasing VMWare for this purpose.
Parallels
Relatively low-cost emulator for MAC/Intel. TreePad Lite, TreePad PLUS, TreePad SAFE and TreePad Business Edition all run on Parallels.
Currently we have no information on whether TreePad X Enterprise runs on Parallels as well, but we think that this is likely.
