Introduction

TreePad is one of the easiest tools for creating Help-files. This page describes in detail how you can create:

(1) a Windows Help (.hlp) file,

(2) a Windows HTML-help (.chm) file,

(3) a stand-alone executable (one program containing all data + viewer inside the .exe file)

(4) a PDF (Adobe Acrobat) file

from a single TreePad database.

Adobe Acrobat PDF is a popular document format which can be used to distribute information on virtually any operating system, including MAC, Linux and Windows.

ABC Amber TreePad Converter
Very easy to use file converter which directly converts a .tpd or .hjt (TreePad) database into:
(1) a Microsoft Windows Help (.hlp) file
(2) a Microsoft Windows HTML-Help (.chm) file

Stand-alone executable

Instead of converting a TreePad file to .chm, .hlp or .pdf format, you can also compile your TreePad file into a single program containing your data and the viewer program.
This stand-alone program, or executable ('exe-file') does not need any additional files to be distributed.

exe-eBook Creator
exe-eBook creator is a freeware ebook compiler for TreePad files. It enables you to create an executable (program) from a TreePad .tpd or .hjt file. This single "exe-file" contains the TreePad database as well as the TreePad Viewer program.
