Transferring text

To quickly move a selected block of article text to a new node,TreePad's transfer functions can make your life easier:

Drag and Drop
To transfer a block of text by drag-drop to a new node, first select a block of article text. Then drag-drop the text onto the tree node of your choice (the so-called "target node").
After releasing the mouse the dialog 'Insert selected text as new node' will appear.

This dialog allows you to
- insert the selected text as a child node or sibling node (of the "target node")
- move the selected text to the new node, or just copy it. When you move the text it will be deleted from the original node⁄article.
- copy the text including all text-formatting or strip 'convert to plain text' before copying.
