Database selection button bar

The database selection button bar can be found at the left-most border of the TreePad window. Please see the screenshot below, showing the database selection buttons '1' to '8'. When you click on one of these buttons, the corresponding database slot opens. Each database slot can contain one opened database. Since there are eight database slots, TPX Enterprise allows you to open up to eight databases simultaneously. To open a database in a database slot, first click on the corresponding button, then click on "Main menu: Database⁄Open local database" or on "Main menu: Database⁄Open remote database".

Notes:
1. You can also navigate between databases by using "Main menu: Navigate⁄Switch to database"
2. The fact that there are eight database slots does not mean that you are limited to having just eight databases. You can have as many databases as you want, but you can open up to eight databases simultaneously.
3. The database selection button bar is one of several objects in TreePad collectively known as Toolbars. Its visibility can be set in the options screen, category "Toolbars". ("Main menu: View⁄Options"). A more direct way of changing the visibility of an infobar or toolbar is to right click on the toolbar docking area, then tick or untick the corresponding menu.

Example
To open two databases, one in slot #1, and the other in slot #4, first click on the database selection button '1', then click on "main menu: Database⁄Open local database" or on "Main menu: Database⁄Open remote database". Now the first database is opened in slot #1. To open the second database in slot #4, click on the button '4' to select database slot #4, then open the database as before.
At this point you have two databases opened. To switch between the two opened databases, just use the database slot buttons. You can also use the navigate menu.
