TreePad file types
TreePad 7.x database, binary file type. Contains images, icons, articles and nodes.
TreePad 6.x database, ASCII-based. Articles are stored as Rich Text or Text entities. Images and icons are stored in a corresponding .tpz file (see below).
TreePad 6.x .htmhjt database, ASCII-based. Articles are stored as HTML or Text entities. Images and icons are stored in a corresponding .tpz file (see below).
When a TreePad 6.x database (.hjt or .htmhjt file) contains images and⁄or icons, these are stored insize a .tpz file with the same name as the .hjt file, except for the extension .tpz.
Optional file, with the same name as the current database file, but with extension .tps (TreePad Settings). It stores the tree state of the current file (which node is expanded⁄collapsed and selected), but only when this option is enabled in the TreePad options screen.
.bak, .bak002, .bak003, etc.
Safety copy files, automatically created during a file-save, but only when the 'safety copy' function is enabled in the TreePad options screen.

Progressively numbered backup files, created when using the manual backup function (menu⁄file⁄backup to).
