International languages

TreePad supports fonts for the following Asian languages:

• Chinese
• Japanese: Hiragana and Katakana
• Korean: Hangul

Choose View > Options > TreePad > IME mode to change the default font.

Read-only mode

Read-only mode prevents changes to a file. To make a TreePad file read-only:

1. Save the file and close it.
2. In Windows Explorer, right click the file and choose properties.
3. Check the "Read-only" box under "Attributes" and click OK.

Minimizing TreePad to the system tray

Choosing View > Options > TreePad > Show icon in System Tray will make the TreePad icon appear in the system tray of the taskbar, next to the clock, when TreePad is open. (There will be no button on the taskbar.) Clicking the icon will make TreePad active. Right clicking the icon will give you options to maximize, minimize, save, back up, or close TreePad, or to restore its normal window.

Automatic paste

When automatic paste is enabled, any text information that is pasted to the clipboard will automatically be added to the current TreePad article. To enable this option, right click in the article area and choose Automatic Paste from the pop-up menu.

Viewing statistics of a subtree

To see the number of nodes and characters in a subtree:

1. Right click on the root node of the subtree.
2. Choose Subtree Statistics.
