Toolbars
TreePad has five available toolbars: File,
Tree Edit, Article
Edit, View and Search You can
choose which ones you see by clicking View on the Menu
bar, then Toolbars. All toolbars with checks in front
of them are shown. Click on any toolbar name to change it from shown to hidden.
Toolbars can be docked at the top of the screen, or moved anywhere you want
them. To move a toolbar, click on the handles
at the left of the toolbar if it is
docked, or on the toolbar name if it is floating.
The buttons on this toolbar (from left to right)
- Create a new TreePad file
- Open an existing TreePad file
- Save the current file
- Print the currently visible article
The buttons on this toolbar (from left to right)
- Insert a node before the selected node
- Insert a node after the selected node
- Insert a node as a child of the selected node
- Delete the selected node
- Sort the subtree beginning with the selected node alphabetically
The buttons on this toolbar (from left to right)
- Cut the selected text
- Copy the selected text
- Paste the contents of the clipboard into TreePad
- Delete the selected text
The buttons on this toolbar (from left to right)
- Show both the tree and the article
- Show the tree only
- Show the article only
- Turn wordwrap on or off
Enter the text you want to search for in the box at the right. The buttons
on this toolbar (from left to right)
- Start a search. The
lets you choose what to search, from the whole tree to just
the current article.
- Search again for the same text
- Make your search case sensitive (So that "TreePad" does not equal
"treepad")
